Missions

Yankton Community Fellowship defines missions to be any evangelistic endeavor outside our local congregation to fulfill the Great Commission by proclaiming the gospel of Christ, making disciples and gathering these disciples into local congregations, while relating to the needs of the total person (spiritual, physical, emotional and social).

The goal of our missions effort is to win individuals to the Lord, equip them in the faith and establish churches that have the same aim in every tribe, tongue, people and nation (Matt. 28:18, Mark 16:15). The mission’s team will seek to guide Yankton Community Fellowship Church toward the fulfillment of this purpose.

MISSIONS DIRECTOR
I was born in Portland, OR and moved to St. Helens at five years of age. I am the mother of five amazing young adults, and three extraordinary grandkids. I served as a volunteer at the Columbia Pregnancy Center for a few years, then as the Director for thirteen years. Currently I am employed with both YCF and at Pathways as a Community Support Specialist.  At YCF I have served in many different areas—nursery, children’s Sunday school teacher, Recovery Fellowship, and missions. I have also volunteered in our local schools.

Missions is my passion-both local and foreign. I enjoy seeing lives transformed by the love and power of God. I have been on multiple mission trips and I serve on the board of a local non-profit- Lazarus Project, which empowers individuals to become contributing citizens.

Improving my ability to serve more effectively is highly important to me, and in order to facilitate what I have learned, I have earned a certificate of leadership through Impact International School of Ministry; and I am working towards my certificate in counseling, and my bachelors of counseling.
