About: 

Megan is originally from Oregon and a lifelong member of Yankton Community Fellowship. She attended Discipleship Training School led by Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Kansas City, MO Fall 2014 followed by a secondary 9 month training in Biblical Studies 2016. She has worked alongside other ministries and teams sent out by YCF since 2013, including: L3 International with Nate and Rute Tanner in Africa / Scrivener Ministries with Ciudad de Dios Orphanage in Mexico /  YWAM in India, Thailand, Nepal, throughout the US and Kansas City, MO.

Of all this she says, ” The Lord has placed a burning desire in my heart for the lost, for orphans and widows of the nations. We are all called to be part of the great commission in some way or another. I have been called to GO across the world to many nations, coming alongside others to build up, to proclaim the good news of the love of God, to advance the kingdom of God.

“From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence (been coming violently), and the violent take it by force.” [Matthew 11:12] The kingdom of heaven advances by force, it’s intentional, it does not advance out of passivity. 

Currently: “I am a full time missionary with YWAM Kansas City serving in the Maintenance Department. Over the years I have been part of: a team pioneering a Discipleship Bible School , staffing a Discipleship Training School, leading teams to Thailand and India. When I returned from Thailand I felt it was time to make a change and joined the Maintenance Department. Shortly later, I was placed over out Grounds portion of the department, caring for roughly 39 acres of property. I daily work alongside our students from our DTS & SBS training schools, discipling and encouraging all while teaching them practical life skills.

Church: I am a member and sending missionary of my home church, Yankton Community Fellowship in Oregon. I have been a part of YCF my entire life, involved in their local ministries as well as with their overseas connections. I wouldn’t be who I am today without the years of discipleship, investment, support and impact the individuals have made in my life.
