Candle on the Way

Participants feed and minister to the homeless and the down and out through sharing the Gospel, prayer, encouragement, food, clothing, and love.

Candle on the Way teaches people in the church who have not ministered to others that they can, and gives them an avenue for ministry.
It  gives the Body of Christ opportunity to use their God-given gifts and talents to bless others.  People contribute hand-made hats and carves, and home-made goodies to distribute to those out on the street.

The team typically meets every third Saturday of the month near the restrooms at McCormick Park in St. Helens.
Proverbs 14:31 “He who oppresses the poor, reproaches his Maker, but he who honors Him has mercy on the needy.”
Psalm 72:12-14 “For He will deliver the needy when he cries, the poor also, and him who has no helper.  He will spare the  poor and needy.”
