Kayla Strang (24) began attending church September 12th, 2001; four months
later, at the end of her Senior Year in High School, she accepted the Lord.
She has since served 6 years in youth ministry as an advisor and has assisted in leading three mission trips in that time.
After graduation, Kayla attended PSU and PCC working toward a double major in Business Marketing and Psychology. Kayla married her High School sweet heart, Brenden, New Year’s Eve of ’04 and has had two beautiful daughters, Madeline (born 01/06) and Aubrey (born 02/07).
Kayla’s Vision for Children’s Ministry:
“My goal is to show our children that Yankton Community Fellowship is their church. I want our children to have their own desire to come to church, seek after their own relationships with God, and not reside to being “2nd/3rd Generation Christians” where they attend because they “have to”. I want desperately for our children to feel appreciated for who they are in our church family and in Christ Jesus so that they will always have a foundation of love and acceptance.”
Upon God’s direction, the Strang family left their home church and began attending YCF in June of 2006. Immediately Kayla felt God’s calling to become YCF Children’s Ministry Director and took the open position in March/April of this 2007.
